Another cookie recipe I grew up with is the Snicker-doodle. I now make them for my girls and husband. Here’s the recipe:
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
Mix and cream together
Add 2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp crème of tartar
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Mix together and roll into balls.
In a separate bowl mix together 3 tsp sugar and 3 tsp cinnamon.
Roll the balls in the mixture and place on the cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
YUM!
